Is It Time to Abolish the Electoral College?. The United States is the only democratic republic that does not elect its president by direct vote. The Electoral College was written into the Constitution, and pundits agree that it would be difficult to amend it or eliminate it entirely. But it is possible to change how it works! Find out how from our panelists, Don Clark, consultant to the Wall Street Journal and other publications, and Henry Michalski, former history teacher and current events discussion leader. The panel will be moderated by John Tuteur, Napa County Registrar of Voters. The program is free and open to the public.

Program: Housing Challenges in Napa County: Problems and Solutions. Everyone agrees that we need more housing in Napa County--for the workforce, older adults, families, veterans, the disabled, and the homeless--housing for all. In a program called "Housing Challenges in Napa County: Problems and Solutions," panelists will examine some of the hurdles to building housing that is affordable and suggest ways for providing such housing in the near future. They will be speaking on Wednesday, April 19th, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm, at Napa United Methodist Church Sanctuary, located at 625 Randolph Street, Napa. Panelists are Lark Ferrell, Housing Manager for the City of Napa and Bob Massaro, a founding member of the Napa Housing Coalition. This program is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Napa County and is free.
